Hi Everyone, Sharon's turn to blog today.  Sunday, October 7th, we didn't get a very early start this morning so decided that we would try to find a beach fairly close to our apartment.  We found a very nice beach about 15 minutes from home and we didn't have to share it with too many others.  We enjoyed a nice lunch and a couple of glasses of wine.  It just seems odd to be enjoying a glass of wine on the beach.  It was a little chilly, although Janice did go in for a quick dip. We really had a relaxing day!  We stopped at a  produce market on the way home to pick up a few necessities.  We had a nice pasta dinner and retired early.
Monday October 8th, We left the apartment by 8:30am and headed to the south end of the Island to Porto Vecchio.  We  had read about a beach that you had to walk through a pine forest to get to.  We found it, but decided that we would try to find a closer access which turned out to be a steep  rocky path through the forest and when we broke out of the forest there was the most beautiful beach that we had ever seen.  This was not the Mediterranean Sea, but the Tyrrhenienne Sea and the water was so clear that we could see right to the bottom even in the deeper water and it was warm and calm.  We were visited by two donkeys while we ate our lunch, we had to share. We enjoyed Thanksgiving Day in the sun and the water.  We wanted to stop for dinner on the way home, but restaurants in France don't even open until 7:30pm so we kept driving toward home and just after 7:30 found a quaint restaurant called L'Osteria.  Our waitress spoke no English at all so we had fun ordering, but managed to order an incredibly tasty meal - the French do know how to cook and to present the food in a very appetizing manner.
