Hi all again.  Janice here.  Now to continue.  I don't know if we mentioned this before but we have been lucky so far with the weather.  We have had only a couple of days of rain on the whole trip.  We did have some rain at night in Corsica but that doesn't count.  Can you believe it has been a month already!
Wednesday Oct 17th- We drove to Valenica about 1 1/2-2 hours from Peniscola.  We were actually going just past Valencia to a beach called La Devesa.  We stopped in a litte town, Le Saler, for capuccinos (it was really cheap, only 5.20euros for 4 cups. We usually paid 3-3.5euros per cup) It was just a short drive from there to where we had to park for the walk to the beach.  Once we parked it was a 15min walk along a cement path til we got to the sand dune and then up over the dune was the beach.  We had a nice relaxing time on the beach, had lunch, drank some wine, read, walked, played in the water.  We were there for about 3 hours.  We walked back to the car, dropped off our stuff, and Ed, Sharon and I took the 10 min.forest walk back to the main road (Lori drove the car up there to wait for us.)  On the way back thru Valencia we only took one wrong turn but Beulah did some replanning and got us back on track.  After arriving back in Peniscola we went to the supermarket for some bread to have with our oil and balsamic vinegar appetizer before we went out for dinner.  After a few wrong turns we made it out of the downtown area and on the right road to our villa.  It is only a small town but the one way streets and roundabouts can be confusing.
We had dinner at a place near the beach.  We ordered paella (a rice dish). Ed and I had the seafood one and Sharon and Lori had the meat and vegetable one.  They weren't bad but were not the best we have had.  It was nearly 10PM before we left the restaurant.
